Tickled Pink Concert
Royal Albert Hall & Hilton Park Lane
September 2005
Objective :
Smyle worked in conjunction with Inferno, Asda and Clear Channel on the event this year to raise money for breast cancer awareness after the successful debut event, which took place in Autumn 2004, featuring Geri Halliwell, Tom Jones, Ronan Keating, Lemar and Natasha Beddingfield.
Concept:
This year stars included Westlife, Maria Carey, Sheryl Crow, Il Divo and the Sugababes took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall alongside comics Katherine Tate & Nina Conti.
Added to this top line up were Patrick Kielty and Heart FM’s Jamie Theakston and Denise van Outen. There was also an exclusive live radio broadcast from Heart FM on the night and the show will be aired on ITV1 in September, as part of ASDA’s National Tickled Pink charity campaign.
This year The ASDA Tickled Pink Campaign extends its support to Breast Cancer Campaign and is now in its ninth successful year, independently raising over £8 million for Breast Cancer Care since 1996. ASDA supports this live event as a fundraising initiative and to raise awareness of the disease as part of a wider national campaign.
Smyle’s Production Director Matthew Margetson said “we have been delighted to be involved with the production for the show for the second year. Smyle has felt very privileged to be working with this unique line up of top talent as well as supporting an important cause in raising awareness for women about breast cancer."
