Smyle Dominates 2008 Event Industry Awards

It turned out to be an incredible night for Smyle at the 1930’s movie themed Eventia UK 2008 awards ceremony held at East London’s Troxy on Friday.
Smyle received the biggest possible accolade from the Event Industry’s main body in what turned out to be a golden & platinum night.

In a repeat on last year Smyle won the category of ‘Supplier of the Year – Technical’ a category that Smyle was very keen to retain.

Just as the team had made their way back to their table to reflect on the incredible achievement of the double, Smyle were again invited to take to the stage to receive the coveted gold award for Production Agency of the Year.

Then the night’s domination by Smyle became evident as Eventia’s Exec Director, Izania Downie & Event Magazines Editor Jeremy King, called the team back to the stage to receive the prestigious ‘Platinum Award’, the overall accolade for the best of the best, chosen by the judges from all of the Gold winning entries.

Smyle also picked up Gold in the category of ‘Best Hospitality Event or Package’ for the 2008 Players Marquee at Cartier International Polo. The Players Marquee is no stranger to industry recognition as it has achieved success at both the RSVP Awards and Event Awards last year and continues to be recognised by the experts as offering the most creative of all the Summer Social events within UK.
