reason / objective

Smyle was asked to create an introduction sting to the European conference that tied together the location and theme of the conference.

concept / solution

The team created many media clips within the main opening using flash, 3d animation and video. The Colossus of Rhodes was computer generated in 3D to incorporate the history and mythology of the location. A constellation of stars connected together reiterating the mythology theme and also enhancing the ‘connect’ theme of the conference. The Smyle film crew went to Athens and Rhodes to film additional footage for the piece. The final 2 ½ minute edit was split across five widescreen screens in the venue each screen running separate video feeds that complemented each other and live dancers added to the theme on the day.
